Council Practice

A space for authentic connection, deep listening, and shared human experience

Where something shifts when you are truly heard.

While much of my work explores awareness through dreams, meditation, and inner experience, Council brings that same awareness into how we relate, speak, and listen in waking life — with others, not just within ourselves.

The practice draws inspiration from indigenous council traditions and ancient forms of circle-based listening and storytelling.

My First Experience
I still remember my first Council session in England. What struck me most was the depth of connection in the room. There was no teaching, no advice. We simply sat in a circle and shared. But it wasn't just what was said — it was how we listened. No interruptions. No fixing. No performance. Just people speaking honestly, and being fully received. It felt different from everyday conversation. Something opened — not just in me, but in the space between us. I realized how much we carry unspoken, and how powerful it can be to finally give it a voice. We didn't talk about spirituality, yet the experience felt deeply meaningful. Hearts opened, and I was reminded how much we all share beneath our different stories and circumstances. It left me with a simple insight: when people are truly heard, something begins to heal. It also left me with a deeper realization: if more people experienced this kind of listening and connection, the world would be a very different place.
What Happens in a Council Circle
Council is a simple but intentional practice of speaking and listening with awareness. We sit in a circle and share from our own experience while others listen with full attention. There is no pressure to speak. You can share as much or as little as feels right. We do not interrupt, advise, debate, or try to fix one another. Instead, we practice presence, honesty, and deep listening. Sometimes the sharing is light. Sometimes it becomes emotional or deeply personal. Both are welcome. You are always free to simply listen. Being present is already part of the practice.
What This Offers

Council is not therapy.

Yet many people find that something shifts when they are truly heard and when they listen deeply to others.

Over time, people often experience:

• a deeper sense of connection
• emotional clarity
• increased self-awareness
• greater confidence in communication
• the feeling of not being alone in their experience

Joining a Council Circle

I facilitate Council in a way that provides clarity, safety, and structure while allowing authentic sharing and deep listening to emerge naturally.

Council is available through:

• online circles
• in-person groups
• workshops and retreats
• facilitation for teams and communities

No prior experience is needed.

If something in this resonates with you, you're welcome to get in touch or join an upcoming circle.
